I have been playing with some character ideas. Bill is one of my new ideas. I have actually itching to start a whole new webcomic. I still have lots of details to work out, but I may secure the URL this week. Sadly the domain for the .com version of what I want is parked. So I may settle for the .net version. The basic concept will be about a neighborhood with a few twists.
One of the reasons I want to start a new comic is to focus my humor towards family and friends. If I do a new strip I’ll still continue doing DFTG. I love doing DFTG because I can do my techy jokes. The funny thing is I always expect my computer gags to go over well, yet it’s the gags about my kids or friends that get the best reaction. The traffic is reflected by this as well.
I have some ideas already about the new strip. If I do it it’ll probably be B&W and possibly update fairly often. The nice thing is I have tone of material. The people in the new strip would be at various stages of life. So I can use some of the funny things my kids did as babies. The other generations I can cover as well with humor. We’ll see how it all goes and I’ll keep you up to date.
By the way my sister Genda’s birthday. She has reached at certian age that I won’t mention. I’ll give you a hint, if she had a twin their combined age would be 100. The cool thing is she doesn’t look her age at all. She is also one of the sweetest, most creative, and best people I know. Happy birthday Genda!

O.K., I liked the cartoon, and… I would not be happy about the age comments if you hadn’t added the compliments, so, good move brother who is only a mere 4 years behind me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Quit squakin’ about your ages… you are both children. Happy birthday Genda. I am really lookin’ forward to the new strip Barry. It sounds like a great idea!

Nice work, Barry. It looks more artistically detailed than some of your other stuff. Wonder if a closing statement by your new character in which he notices some shortcoming in your own yard work would have made it a little more ironic: He’s asking you to help get his computer running so he can turn you in.
