This cartoon is number 300! I was more excited this week until I saw a tweet with a cartoonist hitting the 2000th cartoon mark! I suppose maybe someday I will hit 2000 but until then I can be happy with number 300. While I have a long way to go to get my skills where I want I am pleased with my progress. When I in the stats someone going through my old archive I cringe when I see they are looking at my earliest toons. I just hope that start at the most recent and work backwards to the beginning.
Anyway I wanted to do something a little different for today’s toon so I hope it is a little more epic by travelling through the years. I believe geeks have always been around. I think humans need early adaptors when new technology comes along. I had several ideas for today but went with this one that I had written down as future toon. I hope you like it and hope you like the next 300 toons.

Happy 300! I feel so much like the first panel a lot of days. The best move my company ever made was this year when they told clients that since I was their only Network Admin they couldn’t have me out of the office at the clients site anymore and that all support would have to be over the phone and remote.

I thought I’d enjoy just working on issues remotely, but when the system won’t come up or they can’t get online and you try to have a user explain to you what’s going on via the phone boy can those become some frustrating calls. I’m going to email you one of my IT horror stories, it’s one that is a common problem, but I think you’ll find it humorous.
