Some Kids Just Don’t Fit In.

Some Kids Just Don’t Fit In.

Before you think I’m being mean to either of my kids, I’m not. Both my girls are very unique. They are both very cool, and both lean in different ways to the geek side. One thing about my youngest daughter is she knows everyone. She makes friends wherever she goes. Where ever we go by the end of the visit, she will know everyone’s name. She is a bit like my wife in that way. While my oldest daughter and myself take some time to warm up to people.

The other thing is my youngest is a cheer leader at heart. I’m sure as she gets older she will be a cheer leader in every school. She is cute and bubbly just like a cheer leader should be. She did ask me for one of the Don’t Feed the Geek mugs I had made for a show coming up. She wanted it because some of the boys said she wasn’t really a geek like she claimed. In truth she is very tech savvy and has more computer skills than some of the adults I know. She also gets upset that she is the only one in the family that doesn’t need glasses, she wants to be like the rest of us. The sad thing is she is too cool to be one of us, but we overlook that because we love her so much. For those old enough to remember think marilyn munster from the Munsters.

Hey… everyone can’t be geeks and they should not feel bad about it.
