It sounds like one source is tracking unique viewers (100&#039;s) and the other is tracking the number of times a page is called from your site (1000&#039;s).  So each unique user is viewing several pages per visit.

I&#039;ve given up on all trackers except for sitemeter.com.  It shows me # of unique viewers, # of hits, averages all each day, and gives me the average number of pages unique viewers load per visit. 

for a secondary source, I use my the awstats provided by my webhost.</description>
