It is happening more and more. Someone sees me with my oldest daughter and they don’t realize it is her. If you don’t see her for even a short time she changes so quickly. She has gotten rid of her glasses in favor of contacts and is about to get her braces off. She has always been pretty but she is really starting to blossom in to a beautiful young lady. On top of being so pretty she is also verysmart and extremely kind. She is a great kid and will someday be an excellent person.
So what does all of this make me? VERY NERVOUS! I know my days are numbered and it won’t be long until boys start showing up. While I would never verbally threaten anyone on or flash a gun at them, I see nothing wrong with cleaning my guns. I may not be intimidating myself there is nothing more terrorizing than a geek cleaning a shotgun smiling.
These darn kids are growing up way to fast for me! While I think I’m a good husband, friend, brother, uncle, worker I hope I’m an even better dad. That’s my goal, I hope I don’t blow this. By the way my younger daught is only 8 but she will also cause me suffering as she is extremely cute and I don’t see that going away anytime soon.
A good Dad? It appears to me that you and your counterpart have done a great job parenting…. funny isn’t it that we are working today to put ourselves out of a parenting job tomorrow, to get them out of the house… to be responsible, and to start their own parenting job in the future… and that is when we can sit back and laugh….

My theory with girls is that when they turn 12 you put them in a barrel with a hole in it. You feed them through the hole in the barrel until they are 18. When they turn 18 you stop up the hole in the barrel. That is the only way to manage them.
Just Kidding but they sure do keep a daddy nervous when the boys start noticing them.
