I have been playing video games for a long time now. I’m a good player. My wife is ambivalent about video games and I have young children. So I am the best video game player in the house……….for now. Over the last few years my daughter Emily (12) has been getting closer and has had some good victories over me. Even the youngest Grace (8) gets the odd win here and there. I still reign supreme but I know my days numbered and I’m going to be tested more and more. Last night Emily and I played some Call Of Duty two player mode. I won all night, mostly anyways. She is getting good or I’m getting old….or both. If things get too bad I can use the magic words “go to bed”.
Believe me man, your days are numbered. What hurts is when they start letting you win so you don’t feel so bad about it. I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas
