I know I may have complained about users in the past, but most are just fine. In fact one of the ladies who started a new full time position is rapidly becoming one of my favorite users. She seems to feel she is a big bother to us and really she is so organized her requests are usually easy to take care of. She appreciates are help so much she is always bringing us treats. The joke in the cartoon came from a conversation about her and how we do need to encourage her that she is fine in our books, in fact we never had it so go with her department. I changed the conversation so I got the best punch line even though my co-worker came up with it. She was kidding of course and she never ate any of the donuts. So it was up to me and my other IT co-worker.
The new lady is a genius. She’s playing you all. She is smarter than all of you because she knows that in the office donuts are better than money. They will buy you all kinds of services.
In my book, if you really want to make it to the top, bring donuts.
I always offer to work for chocolate … preferably white chocolate… Imagine my surprise when a cooler with a Godiva white chocolate sampler arrived at my door! Trust me the people who feed me are at the top of my “will help” list!
