This continues the Rocky Mountain vacation saga. If you have ever been to the Rocky Mountain National park you have been on trail ridge road, the highest continuous highway in the country. On this road you go over the continental divide. It is over 12,000 ft and usually cold. All of this make its a remarkable road when you take all off the very steep road and it’s many switch backs. What is more remarkable is when you are driving and the car stumbles along and you pass many cyclist on the road. In the toon the cyclist pass us but of course that is for comedic value. Even the best of them move along at a slow but steady ride.
Every time we passed a bike going up the road my wife would gasp in dismay that anyone could even do the ride. Her biggest gasp, and mine as well, was when we passed a rider with one leg. He seemed to be a bit shaky but was moving right along. At the point we passed him he was nearly half way up. I bet he made it to the top. All of these riders have my respect especially him. I also saw a group of blind hikers in town, but perhaps that is a toon of it’s own. I hope you like today’s toon.
