Yeah, don't worry. I chuckled at the toon, just thought I'd give my two cents on your comment :) And if you by RT mean followfriday then yes, that was very, VERY much meant as a positive thing. You're too kind. If every american christan was like you, well... it would make my complaining on them a whole lot harder, that's for sure.

Rasmus, Actually my comment about the believer and non-believer facing a crisis was meant to show human nature was was not meant as proof of God. I have nothing but respect for you and your opinions. Your random opinions are good for me to hear and I enjoy them. You do not approach the subject with dogmatically which makes me respect you more. The idea of the post was to get a laugh and not annoy anyone. We are all entitled to our opinion. I think you will agree that both sides of the arguement benefit from the discusion being out there. I must confess I am not fully open-minded on the subject as my beliefs are firm. I do however like hearing opinions that oppose mine and I do weigh each comment on it's own merrit. After all both sides require a degree of faith. Thanks for the RT on Twitter. I had to read it a couple of times to make sure it was a postitive comment but that's how I'll choose to take it. :) You keep on doing what you are doing. I love reading what you write.

It's hard for me to NOT be offensive, I think (especially when I'm just tweeting my random opinions), because there are so many things that really annoys me (I really do wish religion as a whole would get less and less of influence). But I try to be as respectful as I can, especially when debating you Barry, because I respect you as a person so much. And of course I respect your beliefs too, even if I disagree.

However, if one's REALLY open-minded, I don't see it as unlikely to change ones mind. I was a Christian before I got more interested in religion. And the fact that it may or may not be more likely for a non believer to "believe" in hard times is not really a case and point that there actually is a god - that just says something about how the human mind works.

Clever comic idea, Barry. And as to our origins, I'm on your side. And your observation that either position requires faith is also very true.
