 We have replaced our old network gateway with a new device at work. All in all it’s been pretty good so far…..mostly. We have been having an intermittent issue where our bandwidth just gets chewed up. After a lot of trouble shooting it turns our it was because we were using one of the web keyword features. Silly me, I thought since they had the feature in the GUI and in the manual that it would be OK to use it. So we won’t use that feature. I’m fighting the urge to ask support what other recommended features we shouldn’t use. Personally I don’t care I just want a working product.
While some would say it would be petty of you to reveal here the manufacturer and product number of the device in question, I think it would be a public service.
Well it’s a young company. In fairness I think they are designed for smaller, less traffic, networks than ours. So I won’t name them as they seem to be trying hard to patch up some of these issues.
