ThinkGeek - Cool Stuff for Geeks and Technophiles

Video of me drawing my latest toon, in light speed.

July 9th, 2009

I got a kick out of doing this, so I thought I’d share it. I used open source programs for this while thing. I used Paint.Net to draw it, CamStudio to capture it, Windows Movie Maker (not really open source), and of course Wordpress and a plugin to post it. I may do more stuff like this. It’ll probably be cooler a more detailed drawing. The cartoon I’m drawing in the video can be seen at http://dontfeedthegeek.com/2009/07/09/how-was-your-week/

I’m absolutely amazed. Wow. Neat video, and shocking how much work goes into a simple cartoon.

That was TOTALLY GREAT! I’m so glad you posted that video (enjoyed the strip, too!). It was fun to see all speedy. How long did that take you in real time?

Geno, it is funny all that work and in the end they still look the way they do. :)

Samantha, it was just short of an hour in real time.
