Sam Adams, yes that is his real name, has been me best friend for 20+ years. We met when we were in our 20′s and now we are in our 40′s. I’d like to say we have matured with age but when it comes to each other we really haven’t. The cartoon situation actually happened once. As soon as I handed it over I knew I’d make a big mistake. In fairness he did hand the BB gun back so I could shoot him back. Fair is fair. It’s this kind of stuff that causes us to hide injuries from each other. I made another mistake recently when I had some Advil in my laptop case and he saw it and asked what was wrong with me. I told him I had broken a rib, so he started poking my ribs to see which one it was. In fairness if I know he has a sore muscle or injury I will do the same to him, mostly out of retaliation for past incidents. Did I mention we are best friends? Everyone needs a good friend like Sam, maybe with less violence though.
