There Are Only Two Of US
I have worked at this large church for over 5 years now. Nearly everyone here leans to the right. While I do not consider myself a liberal many here would say I am since I am most certainly a Democrat and have been all my life. For all these years I have had to listen to so much grief and silently keep my opinions to myself for the sake of peace and harmony. When W was re-elected I had to suffer in silence as I tried to figure out how it could happen, but then again I was not a big Kerry fan either. Since Obama was elected the trash talk about ‘liberals’ has been nearly gone away, mostly.
I do see the humor in the right trashing Obama already messing everything up less than 40 days in. I guess that is because everything was just so peachy before. I’m not crazy about the stimulus package but I know something needs to be done. I do think it is funny that “they” are complaining about the over-spending by the democrats. I’ll I can say to the Republicans to that is “kettle this is the pot, pot this is the kettle”.
Besides having a president I Can respect another thing changed here a while back. Another Democrat joined the staff, and better yet he even admitted it. We live in one of the most Conservative states in arguably the most Conservative county in the state, so there are not many of us. I believe there are actually more people on staff that voted for Obama but few will admit to even considering it.
So off of my soap box now. Today’s cartoon is in honor of the other Democrats birthday. I’m not naming him here as it is his business who he tells his political views to, but don’t think he has any problem expressing his views. I did another politcal cartoon a while back and have been wanting to do another one so with the b-day of my friend coming up and much politics in the air the timing was good.
While I’m not thrilled with our economy I am optimistic about our future. I think we are going too far in debt with the new stimlus package but I at least respect that it is going to groups other than crooked bankers and badly planned wars.
God bless America and keep praying for our country and president.

I love this —- I am glad you put it on your facebook and I can keep up with your creative side! I am very rebuplican but I keep my mind open and love the art of politics. Remember real politics comes from the “grass roots” level. There is no need to trash presidents, left or right.
Keep voting and keep praying.
My librarian loves this! Keep ‘em coming!
